The 2017 tax preparation season has come to a close.
We would like to extend a special thank you to our team of volunteers who completed over 400 tax appointments during this tax season.
The United Way of Brown County is proud to offer both an online and an in-person tax preparation option to those in the Brown County Area.

United Way partners with Tax Aide (funded by AARP Foundation) to provide FREE tax preparation for low to moderate income taxpayers of all ages. Our IRS certified volunteer preparers meet with taxpayers in the lower level of the New Ulm Public Library. Appointments are available from mid-February to mid-April by IRS Certified Preparers. This service is by appointment only during the tax season. Our During the 2017 tax season our preparers completed 415 returns for residents across Brown County and southern Minnesota. Those taxpayers received an average return of $612.
