Youth Activities Scholarship

The United Way of Brown County Area Youth Activities Scholarship Program provides scholarships to young people from the age 3 to 18 whose family income is insufficient to meet the activity and equipment fees, and who are unable to get assistance through other scholarships and grants.

Scholarships are available up to $200 per year (August 1 to July 31), per youth for 80% of the activity fees and 50% of equipment costs.

The ultimate goal of the United Way Youth Activities Scholarship Program is to ensure that any youth in the Brown County area who desires to enroll in activities will not be denied the opportunity due to a lack of funds. It's just one way that our community chooses to LIVE United.

Please send your completed scholarship form along with required income documentation to the United Way at:

United Way of the Brown County Area, Inc.
PO Box 476
New Ulm, Minnesota 56073

Please be sure to have the organization providing the activity fill out Step 4 of the application prior to submission to United Way. Our scholarship committee meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month to make decisions on applications.
