Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library will help you read with your child. There are many reasons parents do not read to their child, but we can eliminate one of them. Every child will have books of their very own, at no cost to you, thanks to the United Way of the Brown County Area and Dolly Parton. Each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in your child's name directly to your home.

This year, about 475 backpacks filled with age appropriate school supplies were delivered to
schools throughout Brown County. These backpacks are available to kids from families in need to help ensure that the kids are able to get off to a good start in school.

Day of Caring
Each October the United Way coordinates the requests of our senior population who need help to continue living independently. Invividuals, teams from local businesses and church groups give up part of a Saturday to provide household and yard work. Last year over 300 volunteers helped 130 individuals in their homes.
Youth Activities Scholarship Program
United Way provides funds to young people from age 4-18 whose family income is insufficient to meet the activity and equipment fees. United Way will pay 80% of the activity fee and 50% of the equipment costs for a total of $225 per child per year.
