EDUCATION
PROGRAMS WE SUPPORT HELP CHILDREN AND YOUTH ACHIEVE THEIR POTENTIAL BY:
• Ensuring access to quality school readiness and preschool programs that prepare children for school and learning. • Offering programs that teach young people positive life skills. • Helping 500 students start the school year off right by providing them with a backpack and school supplies through our “Stuff the Backpacks” project. • Helping students maintain or improve grade point averages and stay in school through academic mentoring services.

BASIC NEEDS
PROGRAMS WE SUPPORT PROMOTE GREATER FINANCIAL STABILITY AND INDEPENDENCE BY:
• Meeting basic needs like food, clothing, rent, utilities and other emergency needs. • Providing pre-employment skills, peer counseling, computer tutoring, resources and referrals that leads to living-wage employment. • Providing free financial counseling to individuals and families experiencing debt issues. • Creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in their community through training and long-term employment.

HEALTH
PROGRAMS WE SUPPORT PROMOTE THE OVERALL HEALTH OF OUR COUNTY BY:
• Improving access to health care services. • Providing healthy meals and daily visits for homebound senior citizens. • Ensuring safety from violence. • Offering home visits by a registered nurse who provides education and resources to parents with a newborn child. • Providing a community based program to address youth/teen suicide through public awareness campaigns, education and training.
